Prescription workflow and pharmacy safety
Prescription-only medicines need a prescription and a pharmacist's judgement. MitiMed supports that process: it marks Rx-only medicines, asks for a prescription and records who reviewed it. It does not make clinical decisions.
Rx-only medicines
Mark medicines as prescription-only. At the POS and in online orders, these items need a prescription before they can be sold or handed over.
Pharmacist review
Customers can upload a prescription photo with an online order. The pharmacist reviews it and approves or rejects the items; the decision is recorded.
Private files
Prescription images are private. Opening one requires permission and every access is logged.
- No public links to prescription images
- Access limited to authorised staff of that pharmacy
- Access recorded in a log
What MitiMed does not do
MitiMed does not diagnose, recommend substitutes or override a pharmacist. Any AI suggestion is advisory and marked as unverified.
How it works
- 1Customer presents or uploads a prescription
- 2Pharmacist reviews it
- 3Approved items can be sold
- 4Decision and access are recorded
Frequently asked questions
Does MitiMed check drug interactions?
Not as a clinical check. The AI assistant can list possible interactions between selected medicines as an unverified, advisory reference; checking interactions remains the pharmacist's responsibility.
Who can see prescription images?
Only staff of that pharmacy whose role allows it, and each view is logged.
